Even traditional buildings often show that a simple and sensible design can be sustainable and cost-effective. Large sloping roofs drain rainwater and protect from the sun, while thick walls provide insulation with their high thermal mass. Conversely, many so-called premium residential buildings vividly demonstrate that big budgets do not automatically yield better results.
